Sell Event Photos Across Southeast Asia with Xendit
9Pic Checkout now charges IDR, PHP, MYR, THB, or VND through your Xendit account, so organisers selling photos in Southeast Asia can collect payment the way buyers already pay.
Payment option note: Direct Xendit support introduced another 9Pic Checkout payment option for teams that need regional payment familiarity alongside participant search.
We added it so organizers in supported markets could use a payment path buyers already recognize, without adding 9Pic commission.
What payment option launched
Direct Xendit support introduced Xendit as a payment option for organizers selling event photos through 9Pic Checkout in Southeast Asia.
The launch recognized that checkout trust is not universal. A payment flow that feels natural in one market can feel unfamiliar in another.
Where Xendit fits
Use Xendit when your merchant account and your buyers sit in Southeast Asia. Checkout currently prices Xendit events in these currencies:
- Indonesia, IDR. Races, school sports, and festivals that should settle in rupiah.
- Malaysia, MYR. Events whose buyers expect a Malaysian checkout.
- Thailand, THB. Races, campus events, and tourism galleries priced in baht.
- Vietnam, VND. Local events that should not force a foreign-currency card charge.
- Philippines, PHP. Xendit can charge PHP. Teams that already run on PayMongo usually pick PayMongo instead.
For the US, UK, EU, or India, use Stripe. For the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, or Bahrain, use AFS Gateway. The full map is on the Checkout product page.
Regional payments matter for photo sales
Event photo sales are local by nature. Buyers trust payment methods they already use, and organizers need settlement workflows that match their business region.
Xendit support gives 9Pic Checkout a better fit for teams that need regional payment collection without giving up the gallery, search, and delivery tools around it.
Participants are more likely to complete a purchase when the payment method feels recognizable and low-risk, especially after the emotional high of finding a photo.
The hesitation this removes
Before Xendit support, a participant could want the photo but hesitate when the payment path felt unfamiliar or disconnected from local buying habits. After Xendit support, teams could offer a more regionally familiar checkout path without adding 9Pic commission.
What this introduced
Xendit checkout path
Let eligible sellers collect payments with their own Xendit setup.
Zero 9Pic commission
Keep platform pricing separate from payment-provider fees and avoid a 9Pic sales commission.
Localized buyer trust
Support payment behavior that is familiar in the seller market.
Where teams can use it
- Race organizers in Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, or Vietnam selling participant photos after events.
- Sports photographers building paid galleries for local competitions in those currencies.
- Agencies that need Xendit reporting and settlement in their finance process.
Rollout checklist
- Confirm the seller account and supported payment methods before launch.
- Test checkout on mobile because most participant purchases happen there.
- Publish refund and delivery terms before promoting paid galleries.
What this enables next
Xendit support introduced a Southeast Asia payment option and made Checkout more practical for sellers whose buyers expect local payment familiarity.
The product direction stayed consistent: help participants find the media they value, then make the purchase step familiar enough to complete. See also the later PayMongo update and AFS Gateway for the UAE and GCC.
